Warm Mocha Smoothie With Chocolate Sauce

Coffee, chocolate and nourishing goodness all wrapped up in a warm smoothie bowl.

Ingredients
 

Smoothie

  • 3/4 cup coconut milk from a carton, not a can
  • 1/4 cup brewed coffee warm
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 tablespoon hemp seeds
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter
  • 3 scoops Autumn's Vanilla Protein Powder

Chocolate Sauce

  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon cacao powder
  • 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

  • In a microwave safe cup, add the coconut milk and microwave for 20-30 seconds or until very warm
  • Carefully pour the warm coconut milk and the remaining smoothie base ingredients into a blender. Blend until smooth.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the Chocolate Sauce ingredients. Add additional hot water if needed to thin the consistency.
  • In a bowl, add the smoothie base and drizzle the Chocolate Sauce on top. Optional to add additional toppings such as 1 tbsp. coconut flakes or additional cacao nibs.

Notes

Make sure that your liquid is warm and not boiling. Boiling liquids can denature protein powder and make it clumpy.
