This healthy hot chocolate uses nourishing ingredients like cacao, cinnamon, turmeric and black pepper for a slightly sweet dessert.

2cupswhole milk
2tablespoonscacao or cocoa powder
1/2teaspooncinnamon
1/4teaspoonground turmeric
2teaspoonsraw honey or pure maple syrup
pinchblack pepper
Instructions
In a pan over medium heat, combine all ingredients. Whisk until well combined and hot cocoa has reached desired temperature.
Notes
Optional whipped cream: Pour grass-fed heavy whipping cream (1/4-2 cups, depending on how many servings you are making) into a blender. Blend on high until stiff peaks form. Top your hot cocoa with 2 Tbsp. whipped cream per serving.
