Today, I’m sharing a sneak peek of one of my favorite smoothie recipes from the new Summer Meal Plan, the Sunrise Surprise Smoothie.
This recipe is based off of a recipe that my grandpa used to make for me growing up. It’s packed with the protein and high quality fat to keep you satiated while minimizing sugars to help keep insulin (the storing hormone) from greatly spiking.
In other words, this is a PERFECT breakfast to have for your weight loss or wellness journey!

Sunrise Surprise Protein Smoothie
Ingredients
Smoothie
- 10 ounces unsweetened coconut milk from a carton, not a can
- 1 cup full-fat greek yogurt
- 1 scoop Autumn's Vanilla Protein Powder
- 1/2 lemon juiced (I used a meyer lemon)
- 1/4 cup frozen pineapple
- 1 tablespoon hemp seeds
- 1 tablespoon coconut butter
- pinch of salt
Optional Topping
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened toasted coconut flakes
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients, except for the coconut flakes, in a blender until smooth. Optional to top with 3 Tbsp. unsweetened toasted coconut flakes.
