Tell us about yourself!

I have been healthy and have been exercising off and on for most of my life. I was fortunate to have a robust metabolism and stayed in shape. After a breast cancer diagnosis in early 2022, I came off of HRT. I gained weight and belly fat that stayed. Then came a mastectomy, chemo and reconstructive surgeries. Weight came off but came right back.

I have tried to lose weight but could not as the anti cancer medicine has hampered the weight loss. I have one more year on Tamoxifen. The spring fasting challenge has made all the difference. The science backed program with the recipes have worked. Since I am post-menopausal and in my late 70’s i have found that the 14:10 fasting schedule works best. My sugar cravings left the first week and I also don’t want salty snacks. Amazing. I have lost 5 lbs so far and want to lose a few more. THANK YOU AUTUMN!!!

What was your wellness goal?

To get to 155 lbs or a little lower. I’m at 157 right now.

Tried the jello trick and various pills that promised weight loss. I have a drawer full of supplements I no longer use.

Weight loss plus my energy levels are coming back slowly.

What were some of your favorite meals?

The smoothies, the salads and the vegetable stir fry.

Did you have any struggles? How did you overcome them?

We entertain a lot. I have just been careful with what I eat and don’t eat or drink alcohol after 8:00 pm.

What are your top tips for someone starting their journey?

Don’t be afraid to try intermittent fasting. I put it off thinking it would be so restrictive. But it is a sensible way to eat.
