Here at Autumn Elle Nutrition, we always discuss the importance of eating foods rich in protein, fat and fiber to help you achieve your weight loss and wellness goals. This combination is crucial for balancing blood sugar levels, reducing sugar cravings and minimizing insulin spikes.

Today I’m sharing one of my favorite protein, fat and fiber rich smoothies lately ~ The Almond Butter Recovery Smoothie.

Almond butter and cacao are both surprisingly rich in fiber and used as key ingredients in this smoothie to help us get over 10 grams of fiber. We also get a full 20 grams of complete protein with my zero sugar, pasture-raised protein powder to help support muscle recovery and reduced sugar cravings.

Storing and Reheating

Feel free to blend this smoothie the night before and store in the fridge in a sealed glass container. When you’re ready to drink it, just give the smoothie a quick shake!

Almond Butter Smoothie

Serves: 1
Prep Time 5 minutes
Packed with protein and nutrients needed for post-workout recovery.

Ingredients
 

  • 10 ounces unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 scoops Autumn's Vanilla Protein Powder
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1/4 cup frozen cauliflower rice
  • 2 tablespoons almond butter
  • 1 tablespoon cacao nibs

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.
