It's officially day 5 of the Summer Intermittent Fasting Challenge!! I've been following along your #WhatIFjourney posts on Instagram - all of those Ginger Cacao Smoothies and Turmeric Lentils that you're whipping up get me so excited for my own meals!! AND of course your Keto Coffee pics! I see you Keto Coffee cheers-ing! (P.S. It's not too late to join in on the Challenge!! Head over HERE to get started!)
Starting my day off with a hot cup of frothy Keto Coffee is probably my favorite part of the day. But lately I've been getting some questions about it. Can you have TOO much Keto Coffee?
Today we're breaking down the deets and answering exactly how much Keto Coffee you can have and still see results!
What's the ideal amount of Keto Coffee?
If you choose to incorporate Keto Coffee (or tea/matcha!), then 1-2 cups per day is ideal. This will provide the gut healing butyric acid and energy supporting medium chain triglycerides without going crazy on the caffeine.
Do you NEED it?
In other words, do you NEED to have Keto Coffee during your fasted period? Not necessarily. However, for those who are new to Intermittent Fasting, it's an amazing tool to reduce hunger hormones so that your fasting period is super simple. But if you prefer to take your coffee black (or iced with Iced Keto Coffee HERE), then that's fine too! Just remember to use mold-free coffee for maximum benefits. You can check out my recommendations for coffee HERE.
Can you have too much?
Absolutely. You can have too much of anything. With coffee, I have found that those who consume too much tend to rely on it as an energy crutch. This can hinder your sleep quality and artificially spike your cortisol levels too high and too late in the day, which can lead to weight gain and anxiety attacks. Get the deets on this below.
Keto Coffee is an amazing, frothy cup of goodness that you can incorporate into your Intermittent Fasting routine. Just remember to stick to 1-2 cups before 2pm (or 12pm if you're caffeine sensitive) and you're good to go!
I'll Keto Coffee cheers to that!☕️
