In the year since I originally released the 21 Day Intermittent Fasting Program, I've seen and read some pretty incredible stories from #AENpeeps all around the world! These stories have ranged from reversing GERD symptoms, to bringing low testosterone levels back to normal range to significantly reducing autoimmune eczema!
Today, I'm sharing the story of a health care professional working unpredictable 12 hour shifts and STILL achieving amazing, gut healing results with The 21 Day Intermittent Fasting Program protocols! If you are a health care professional or work varying, unpredictable hours - then this story is for you!!
Tell us about yourself!
I am a healthcare professional by day and a (relatively new) wellness blogger by night! Also avid coffee lover and fierce kitty mama!
Have you tried anything in the past to achieve your goals?
I have tried eating lean and green, which in my mind was paired with too much protein. I've tried endless boring salads. I've tried no carbs after 3 pm. Kinda anything and everything. I also previously 'tried' keto coffee but was putting everything under the sun in it and wondered why I was hungry an hour or so later.
What was your main wellness goal with The 21 Day Intermittent Fasting Program?
I wanted to focus on nutrition and really optimizing for my body. I was getting continuous upset stomachs and lots of bloating. I wasn't sure what foods were causing it or how to make it better. IF helped completely! I also wanted to slim down a bit but not a primary goal.
Did you have any hesitations before getting started on The 21 Day Intermittent Fasting Program?
I work unpredictable 12 hour shifts at the hospital. We get a chance to eat when the surgeries are over or when we have a break between cases. So I was worried about 'breaking the fast' too soon or when my breaks would be, and if I could work around an inconsistent ability to control my precise eating window.
What was the biggest wellness win you experienced?
First, I was able to start enjoying coffee without sugar, and love keto coffee. I find it keeps me satiated way longer than previously when I was dumping so many ingredients in the cup. I am proud of myself for fasting in an 8/16 window and have been able to adjust my eating for friends birthday celebrations and dinners out with my SO. I am also hydrating significantly more than previously and my body has responded well to that.
What was your favorite meal from The 21 Day Intermittent Fasting Program?!
I love the Marinated Kale Salad with the ACV and olives!
Did you have a Nutrition Nerd moment?🤓
Specifically the revelation that when we have sugars etc in the morning, it kicks our body into eating and storing mode. Hence why my collagen water and coffee made me so hungry. Also just a huge THANK YOU! for all your transparency and explanation for your processes and the physiology of everything. It means SO much! We all want the information and education so we know we are making great choices, so thank you!!
Are you a Keto Coffee or Keto Tea person?
Keto Coffee all day!
Is there anything else you would like to share?
I had a knee injury late last year, and I have been going to PT but wasnt really able to workout as I wanted. I started following your program (The 21 Day Intermittent Fasting Program) and your nutrition videos as a way to stay healthy and on top of my physique in the meantime. I have felt so much energy and feel my body responding well, and I am actually losing some of that 'fluff' from before. Now that I am cleared to fully workout, (as of May 1st) I am pumped to continue IF and see how I can compound my results!
