How Elizabeth Reduced Her Bloating, Cleared Her Skin and Felt Lean Again

Updated: May 27, 2020

Today, I want to share an amazing story of how just a few weeks can CHANGE your life! Let me introduce you to Elizabeth. I've had the pleasure of following along Elizabeth's journey and keeping up with how quickly her wellness goals were achieved. She's such an inspiration to everyone out there that is tired of not feeling GOOD.

Elizabeth, I'm SO proud of you and I can't wait to see where your journey takes you!

Tell us about yourself!

My name is Elizabeth and I am a 23 year old from good ole Louisville, KY! I’m currently in school getting my doctorate to be a Pediatric Physical Therapist. I am a former college soccer player and I am always on the go – whether it be my morning workouts or afternoon walks.

What was your goal with the 21 Day Intermittent Fasting Challenge?

My goal was the whole 9 yards. I wanted to lose weight, bloat, emotional breakdowns, irregular body systems (PCOS, IBS), and gain a better relationship with food.

What made you want to try the 21 Day Intermittent Fasting Program?

I have tried literally everything else. I did SkinnyMe Tea, Low FODMAP, IIFYM, counted calories religiously not caring about macros, worked out to the point of exhaustion. I always failed – whether it be because I lasted 2 days on whatever new fad diet I was trying or if it was simply because I made it 4 days and then was in tears because it wasn’t working. I needed something that would keep me accountable.

Did you have any hesitations before starting?

I had SO many hesitations. I’ve contemplated Intermittent Fasting prior to seeing your account and always told myself that there was NO way I would ever be able to wait until 10, 11 or even Noon to eat. I am a very routine person and would wake up at 5am to workout, eat breakfast by 7am and then snack at 9, lunch, another snack, another snack, and then dinner and DESSERT.  So doing this was living life on the extreme edge for me.

What were the biggest changes you experienced?

There were SO many changes I experienced, but the main ones were my hunger levels, I felt lean (not like some huge inflatable like I usually did), my face = no more breakouts, REGULAR POOPING (huge upgrade from going every 5 days LOL), and lastly – I didn’t crave dessert anymore (or rather, I could now resist the temptation).

What's the most important thing you learned about yourself during the journey?

I learned that change is good, having an open mind is good. I accomplished something I never in my life thought I would, and that was sticking with something for 21 days. I can’t even express to you how proud I was of myself.

What was your favorite meal?

This is such a hard one!! My favorite meal of all time was the Weeknighter Bake – I loved the crispy oven roasted brussels along with the sweet honey and walnuts on top. It always was so refreshing and never got old.  But honestly I could say any of the meals up here because I was so in love.

My favorite breakfast à Almond Butter Cup Smoothie

My favorite lunch à Kale + Avo Salad

My favorite dinner (besides the week nighter bake) à Pumpkin Chili Goodness

Is there anything else you want to share about yourself or your experience?

In 2015 I was diagnose with a mental illness – Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I was so so unhealthy and stuck in my own body being controlled by some foreign mind, or so it felt. I went through extensive therapy and rehab and fought through it without medications thankfully. I am 100 times better to this day and I am so thankful for it. With that being said, mentally I have always been a very emotional person which resulted in essentially me having an eating disorder on top of all of that. I binge ate like no other – I’m talking like 3,000 calories in one sitting at night because I would basically starve myself all day. That would result in an 8 mile run everyday to try and compensate for the guilt I felt. Doing this program has not only helped me not binge at night, but it has changed my emotions. I think the overload of carbs and sugar is what made me so emotionally unstable, and I’m thankful to have come across you and your program. I wish I lived in Cali so we could be friends and hang out all the time because I feel like we’d get along so well!
