Tell us about yourself

I am 58 years old grandmother of two beautiful little girls and mother to three amazing daughters. I am a registered nurse and I also take care of my disabled veteran husband. I am a kidney transplant recipient.

My husband and I did the paired kidney exchange program through BJC hospital along with John Hopkins hospital. We were the first 6 way transplant at the time. I have always tried to maintain my health due to this. But struggled with weight and a sweet tooth.

I stumbled onto Autumn’s YouTube channel in September 2025. It literally changed my life. Everything I thought I knew about eating healthy and doing the right things were wrong such as I ate everything low fat! I have completely immersed myself in this new way of healthy eating and have lost 30 pounds since starting. I am so incredibly grateful to have found Autumn and I feel so much better since starting this new way of eating.

What was your goal?

To lose weight and maintain my health.

What were your wellness wins?

I lost 7 pounds during the body recomposition challenge and have lost a total of 30 pounds since starting in September. My energy has much improved. I had a hard time even getting up off of the couch. My mood has definitely improved. I have labs done every month and quarterly due to the kidney transplant. I just had my labs drawn two weeks ago and they are better than they have ever been!!!

What were your favorite meals?

The Strawberry Lemonade Smoothie Bowl, Blueberry Almond Protein Waffles, Immunity Booster Smoothie, Salmon Cakes, Broccoli Slaw Salad, Saucy Taco Skillet, Hawaiian Kabobs, Asparagus Fries, Mediterranean Meatballs, Grilled Blackened Bowl with Mango Salsa, Saucy Crunchy Tacos, and definitely the Cauliflower Nachos!

Did you have any struggles?

So far I honestly haven’t craved sweets or snacks at all. I hope to continue with that!

Have you tried anything else in the past?

Yes I have tried weight watchers, trying to eat what I THOUGHT was healthy, and Zepbound.

What are your top tips for someone starting their wellness journey?

To be patient and let your body learn to burn fat instead of carbs primarily. To stick with the protein fat and fiber meals even when dining out.
